I’ve put on a link in handy tools to a zip file that contains 2 greasemonkey scripts which when loaded into your greasemonkey enabled firefox will remove text ads from the game pages.
It also removes missions though so make sure and check the missions page.
Please leave a comment here if you come across a page that gets broken by these and I’ll rectify(or add that page to the “excludes” in your greasemonkey)

But why would you WANT to lose the text ads?
People have been annoyed by the current spate of political ads. Some find it offensive I guess. Someone did do a forum post about it and it was mentioned in IRC, hence these.

Hell, I have heard from several players that the political ads have them completely ignoring that corner, which is having an adverse effect on people that buy ads and people that launch missions.
I am glad to have the script. I like having sites like B$ where I can actually get away from things like the election for a while.
Well, I decided to apply some “if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em” medicine.
I’m not a zealot, I just play one on TV.
If debating politics is your thing, go for it. I’m a well informed voter but chose not to spend the little free time I have discussing politics (or watching others do it).
